Kahoot!

If you haven't tried www.kahoot.it in your classroom yet, you should!

My 7th and 8th grade Spanish students ask to play weekly and have a blast (as long as the internet connection is good!)!

What I love most about it is that it is often my quietest students who excel at this game, which gives them the opportunity to shine in class :)

The site is so easy to use, you can even share activities that you have made with other members of your department.

This is an example of what the white board looks like during the game:

This is what a student iPad looks like (Hi Liam!):

And THIS is how happy your students will be (Happy Allie!):

Comics En Español

Sometimes it's fun to incorporate a little humor into lessons, and it's always exciting when I can find something authentic to use in my classroom.

Last Friday we took a look at some comic strips in Spanish

We also had the opportunity to check out Mafalda, a comic strip created in Argentina.
On this website, there is a short description of Mafalda's creator as well as some translation.

Students are looking forward to creating their own comic strips in Spanish!
